Our History

Big Oaks Shoes is a locally owned and operated shoe store that has been serving the Knoxville area since 1971. It was originally owned by John Raymondo Sr. and then owned and operated by his son John Jr. and wife Dianne Raymondo until their retirement in 2013. Danny and Carol Maples purchased the store and opened it in it's current location in 2014.

Our mission is to provide our customers a great selection of ladies, mens, and childrens quality shoes with exceptional service and at the best price. Our inventory is stocked with name brands that provide both style and comfort. We offer personal service that is not provided at big box stores and we will help find the right shoe for you. If we don't have it we will order it. You will be greeted at the door by Buster, our French Bulldog, and our friendly staff. We want your shoe shopping to be a personal and fun experience that is all about you!
